	Field Service Active Studio has been used to develop a Field Service Application. When engineers visit a site they had to record everything they did with pen and paper. The Field Service solution has reduced the amount of paperwork involved in carrying out each task, now the data is captured using an electronic hand held terminal. The system has been designed to support GPRS therefore as soon as a visit has been completed, the data can be sent straight back to head office at the touch of a button. Using GRPS information can be sent back to the engineers, for example if a service visit to an additional customer is required that had not be scheduled into the days job list the information can be sent direct to the engineer without the need for a phone call or return visit to base.
	Retail Mobile JML are a national retail company who have their own shopping channels on TV and franchises across the UK. Their sales teams now use an elctronic mobile system developed by TWS that allows personnel to visit stores across the country and monitor the operation of the video displays and merchandising. The system also caters for stock replenishment. This activity was formally carried out using pen and paper and was faxed or posted back to head office. As a consequence of this the store visits took much longer than necesary and head office had very little knowledge of stock movements, what information they had was out of date, therefore they were loosing thousands of pounds every year in lost production by the sales teams and more expensivley in lost goods. Now all information is collected electronically, all the goods are accounted for. The sales team are carrying out visits in a more timely manner allowing more visits to be done per day. All of the collected information is sent back to head office electronically of an evening which in turn can be viewed by any PC (with the correct permissions), with internet access, giving admin and the team leaders full visibility.
	Security Suite TWS have developed a Security Suite of products, these include a Gate House System, a Car Parking System and a Security Patrol System. Gate House has been designed for use by Gate House staff. Currently most companies expecting visitors at their gate house have a printed list sent to the gate house staff, and when the visitor arrives the gate house staff look up the contact details of the indivdual being visited on a printed list. TWS's Gate House System saves time, money and paper, by utilising new technology you can now have an electronic system to do all of the work for you. A simple database is created which includes the names and internal contact details of all staff. A simple program is running on a PDA or hand held terminal with the expected visitors and who they are visiting. Vechicle inspection is designed for the checking of vehicles into and out of secure locations, with the ability to record vehicle information. The car park solution is for use in delayed time car parks and for Pay and Display type car parks. The system is able to issue parking tickets for parking offences, and all data is backed up to a central point allowing the admin team to keep up to date. The Security Patrol system is used by security guards whilst carrying out routine patrols. The system records the movement of the guards and allows the guards to record details of any incidents that may occur. The data is all backed up to a central point allowing the admin team full visibility.
